DOES CARDIO REDUCES YOUR MUSCLE GAIN

CARDIO

Cardio means exercise of cardiovascular system of our body.Cardiovascular system include most important organ of our body HEART and blood vessels. So basically cardio is your heart workout. Our heart is also made up of muscle fibers which are called Cardiac muscles.Heart pumps blood into blood vessels which circulate the blood throughout the body supplying nutrients and oxygen to the tissue including the muscles

MYTHS ABOUT CARDIO

CARDIO MAKES YOUR BODY TONE

Cardio involve very little strenuous muscle activity basically it is hitting your cardiovascular system not your skeletal system which includes your body muscles. So if you are doing cardio alone without weight training then you are not going to see a toned body because you have not develop your muscles.Cardio will only burn your fat which is between your skin and muscles.
All the fitness models and bodybuilders you see combine cardio with weight training for getting toned body and increasing their muscle definition.

CARDIO REDUCE YOUR MUSCLE GAIN

This thing depend upon the way you are doing cardio.Doing cardio for 20 min is sufficient for retaining your muscle size and burning the fat at the same time.Doing for 30 min or more is definitely going to burn your muscle and get energy from the proteins stored in your muscles because heart is more important organ to maintain your life then your muscle size.In the initial 20 min the body is getting energy from the breakdown of fat into fatty acids which is the primary source of energy for your heart muscles that's why when you are doing cardio your heart is going to get energy from burned fat.But doing cardio for 30 min or more is going to burn your muscles protein into amino acids now this amino acids are going to supply energy to your body and heart for further activity.
NOW let us take the example of SPRINTER AND A MARATHON RUNNER
SPRINTERS run for 300 to 400 meters mean they are doing cardio for a small duration of time and they have well toned and ripped body
MARATHON runner run for approximately 42 kilometers and they have very skinny body because they do cardio for a long period and burning their muscle with their fat
your muscle gain and muscle loss is dependent on your nutrition not on running. You body goes into catabolic state when you run for a long period.

                      IMPORTANCE OF CARDIO

  1. It promotes water and salt loss from the body by sweating so it prevent body from bloating
  2. It burn fat and provides energy to the body
  3. It increase the strength of heart so prevent from many different heart problems
  4. It prevent the deposition of cholesterol in the vessels which lead to heart attack
  5. Increase the stamina and endurance of the body
  6. Increase the oxygen supply to the body

HOW MANY TIMES WE CAN DO CARDIO

It depends on your goal if the goal is weight loss you can do cardio 6 times a week for 20 MIN .Do sprint running, cycling, swimming and rope jumping
If the goal is muscle gain you can do cardio twice a weak to ensure cardiovascular health
SO THERE IS AN ADVICE FOR YOU GUYS THAT DO CARDIO FOR 20 MIN NOT MORE THAN THAT AND IF YOU WANT A RIPPED BODY ADD WEIGHT TRAINING FOR MUSCLE GROWTH ONLY CARDIO IS NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU THAT TONED AND RIPPED BODY
